well this won't be an expert insight into features just a start up for a newbie
well yesterday i downloaded and installed Kubuntu
it was fun sleek and easy disc
but problem starts from here...
there are two ways around it one is usual "LINUX SUCKS MAN"
or just put on your thinking cap and try to explore something new
well after instalation everything was nice
the new KDE make me hate to login to XP
i am not exactly a newbie to linux been in love with mandriva suse etc for long
but i always wondered y ubuntu is popular
well before proceeding ne furthur to make most of Kubuntu u need fast internet connection which wont be difficult to configure even easier then windows which i still dono how 2 make properly
well motive of my struggle was to listen songs on linux which my mandriva used to do very efficiently and sadly ubuntu failed to do
after a lot of hits and tryl and grumbling i came to know about repositories

which i got from shear luck and some smart searching on google
ideally try the forums from official ubuntu sites may also help a lot
the crux is kubuntu gives a sleeker installtion and upgradation through
three utilities "aptitude","apt" which are command line based
and "synaptic" you need not fear command line cause it is more efficient and i felt it utilizes ur net connection better..
so finally i was able to make my kubuntu sing and it sung very well
at the end of all this i would say finally my desktop has a uniquely refreshing look
you get to learn a hell a lot about linux
then you you don't need to think about chicks especially on VDAY and the day before so it was kinda raw deal
